Stones, fossils, their deposits and their fractures are objects and imprints of process and time.
Processed, explored and undiscovered. By speculatively animating them, and imagining their otherness, we will assume that they are patience, equilibrium, and an embodied belief in gravity. Namelessness, mass, density, texture - and suddenly we are already thinking of a rock - the most solid and fearless thing in the world. Dropping the perspective of spiritualizing rocks, and seeing them as material - patience goes away, and what remains is the dual but also neutral characteristic of resisting and remaining almost unchanged in different conditions, and suggests that permanence and variation follow together.
The stones are independent but impartial and disinterested, they are outside human temporality and dimensionality but purposeful. Some in crystallization, others through granulation, others in dissolution, others from fragility, others from the self and finding themselves. And some of them know only mass.
